I have had the wonderful privilege to try out the ClickN READ Phonics and the ClickN SPELL program with Rachel and Samantha. Both the girls love it. I took a video of Rachel playing it this morning. This is my first video of this type thing, so please excuse the darkness and of course the shakiness. I had fun with this, and hope to do more videos in the future. So here is the video….

What a wonderful program!  First for the Pro’s to this program:

• The program is concise yet repetitive. I know, that doesn’t make much sense, however the program has review built into each lesson, without making the lesson longer than necessary.
• Each lesson is short enough to keep the child’s attention throughout.  
• Each lesson has different ways of re-enforcing the information learned. Such as, letter sounds where the child gets to choose from a list of letters, letter sounds where the child has to use the keyboard to choose the letter, letter sounds at the beginning or end of words, then words spelled with those letters, and then a reading section where they go thru sentences highlighting the words as they speak them.
• Progress information available in a parent’s center
• The lessons are entertaining while still being educational. This isn’t a “fluffy video game”

Now for the Con’s (just one):

• While the program itself is very easy to use, someone needs to log into the program to get the child started. (unless your child is more advanced)
